I am a teacher and downloaded the Clean up the Classroom kit from their website. I think their “Cinnamon Magic” lesson plan would clearly demonstrate for kids the importance of using soap to get rid of germs.

I think coughing into your elbow and washing your hands/wrists are very important to help stop the spread between kids.

I have never heard of the elbow cough and it makes a lot of sense. I will teach my kids to do this.

I didn’t know germs lived in the washer- I use bleach or bleach alternative in most loads already- I’ll make sure to use in every single load.

I liked the 5, 10 and 25 minute quick clean tips. The clorox wipes were used to clean many things.

I really like the Birthday Song idea…it’s hard for kids to have a concept of how long the right amount of time is for washing hands. Giving them a song they know so well is perfect!

I’ve been doing the elbow cough for a few years now. Used to get funny looks from people, now I think more are catching on. I am going to do the empty load with bleach idea. Probably today!

I know that phones carry germs and my husband always disinfects the handle of our grocery buggy before we shop, but I’ve never thought of regularly cleaning our remote control for germs. Good point and very generous giveaway!

Wow I know it was the first on the page but I always cough into my elbows but never thought much about teaching wee man to do the same… Wee man just started pre-k but we sent him with cleaning supplies to help out… Every little bit helps… Even though he has already gotten sick twice and was never “sick” before starting pre-k…

Clothes with viruses on them can contaminate other clothes in the wash and remain in the washer. To reduce the germs spread throughout the household, run an empty load with 3/4 cup Clorox® Regular-Bleach in your washing machine.
