No More 2 Go Review and Giveaway

If you have visited my blog or are friends with me on Facebook, then you know my journey to eat better and do my best to plan meals that are healthy for me and my family.

I’m trying really hard, but I don’t know a lot about which veggies I should be serving and ways to incorporate flavor without it having that “healthy” look and taste (trust me — if it does, my family will not touch it with a 10 foot pole).

I was glad to hear about No More To Go, a website geared at creating weekly menus and shopping lists for healthy meals.

What can you expect?

I was pleasantly surprised at the wide variety of meals chosen. Each week you get a different menu, complete with side choices.

  • Roasted Chicken with Fresh Thyme, Sautéed Squash and Corn Medley, Dinner Rolls
  • Vietnamese Beef Bun (Warm Beef and Noodle Salad) with Dipping Sauce
  • Patty Melt with Mushrooms & Onions, Sweet Potato Home Fries, Very Simple Mixed Greens Salad
  • Chicken Picatta with Angel Hair Pasta, Side Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette, Crusty Italian Bread
  • Grilled Sword Fish, Lemon Green Bean and Almonds, Basmati Rice
  • Chucky Avocado Dip with Feta

The dishes are very flavorful. I am one who usually tends to stick to the same 5 recipes I make that I know are family tested and approved, but I really wanted to try this website out, so I gave it my all and I am so glad I did. I found out that many of the meals listed I would normally turn my nose up at without giving them a try — actually turned out to be quite delicious.

Each menu plan comes with it’s own shopping list and you can customize the list and the menu.

Great giveaway. I so need help with menu planning. I’m not good at planning out our meals. This would help us to eat healthier and to eat more meals at home. Thanks for the opportunity to win this.

These meal plans would help add new variety to meal planning. I seem to repeat the same old favorites and not try anything new.

I’m totally in the same boat as you! I love cooking healthier meals, but my family isn’t as open to them as I am. I’m hoping the site would have maybe some healthy alternatives to some of their fave meals, to save a few calories and add some nutrition!

It would help us better keep track of meals – our days are getting busier and busier as the kids are getting older!

My husband and I have a very limited amount of time to fit dinner in between picking the kids up from daycare and getting them ready for bed (maybe an hour and a half at most). We have to be prepared with a weekly menu. When we make them ourselves, we get stuck in ruts and we often end up forgetting ingredients. We could really use a menu planning service to help us keep variety in our meals and help with comprehensive grocery lists.

My family needs to start making better choices in what we eat. This looks like it would be quick and the food choices look delicious.

I need some easy, healty dinner ideas. I think my husband and son are getting sick of chicken, brown rice and vegetables.

It’s so easy to get burned out doing healthy meal planning, so this could be an awesome break and provide inspiration! :-) creedamy [at] yahoo [dot] com
