A New Year, A New You With Help From Target (Giveaway)

I love when a new year rolls around. For me, this means a fresh start in every area of my life. The one I tend to focus on the most is my health. Why? Because staying healthy is an unselfish way that I love my family. If I’m unhealthy then I wind up not being able to get out and have fun with my kids, and I spend way too much time in the doctor’s office — which I hate.

2012 is no different. I have been working feverishly to prepare for a new year to finish losing that last bit of weight gain that I put on over the last decade. I am determined that this is the year that I get me back — the one that I miss. I’m not focused on getting skinny. I am focused on getting healthy and staying healthy. This year I plan to do that with the help of Target.

Target is dedicated to providing convenient and affordable products, services and expert advice to help moms stay well and meet their new year’s resolutions. You can talk to a pharmacist, receive a flu vaccine, shop for workout apparel such as the C9 by Champion gear, and stock up on all of their well-being essentials, all in one store. I decided that since I’m walking the dog every day I might as well take up jogging at the same time, very gently and very slowly at first as I’ve never done this before and at my age I don’t want to snap something and diminish my efficiency in the rest of my daily life. Love Archer foods and love Target – even more after their recent advertisement including a Down’s child – a real breakthrough.

  107. Lauren says

For me this year is about two things, incorporating whole foods and gaining (yes, you heard me) ten pounds. I sometimes have trouble eating whole foods (like apples, strawberries, spinach) because they can sometimes go bad fast and take more time to prepare. I’m a college student who really does like her frozen foods (at least they’re Kashi and Amy’s brand!) so this year I’d like to eat more raw, organic, whole foods. I hope to focus more on the preparation and really savor what I’m eating, instead of nuking and sitting in front of the tv! I also hope to gain about 10 pounds. I’ve had a lot of weight issues and right now I am having great difficulty putting on weight. Although I have gone from 83lbs to 100 lbs over the last year, i started to lose from stress and have gone down to 92 lbs. I’m going to be working very hard to maintain a healthy BMI and make sure I get in the proper nutrition, If it gets down to the weight I used to be, my life could depend on it

  108. Allie Sansing says

To tone my body and incorporate more fruits and vegetables into my kids diet. I ve tried to get them to eat them and i really need some good recipes to use so they will want to continue eating them!. My goal is too lose weight once and for all! for myself mostly , but also for my beautiful little boy who needs a mommy with a bit more energy and to set a good example for making healthy choices :) We are taking more walks together, riding bikes, eating ALOT of veggies and fruits, cutting out junkfood, and happy meals! He is my rock during this! I do not want to just lose the weight..I want to keep it off so it is important for myself to be on a consistent routine. Thanks :)
