FurReal Friends Cookie – My Playful Pup

How many of your kids have “puppy” on their Christmas list? My younger kids ask for a puppy just about every year….and so far every year they have been disappointed. Granted, the Christmas tree was filled with OTHER presents, so they quickly forget their disappointment until next Christmas rolls around.

“Mom! Can we get a puppy?!”

Meet Cookie My Playful Pup from FurReal Friends

My kids love their FurReal Friends. This Fall, they added an adorable newborn penguin to their FurReal collection. I’ve been looking around at new FurReal Friends to add to the Christmas shopping list this year, and I’ve fallen in love with real-puppy-sized Cookie. It’s amazing how adding a little bit of responsive action to a toy really makes it come alive for my kids.

Here’s a little about Cookie from Hasbro:

With real-as-can-be movements, sounds and actions, COOKIE MY PLAYFUL PUP lets you experience the joy of having a puppy of your very own!

When you pet her on her head or back, she barks, moves her head and wags her tail. Give her cheek a little scratch and she’ll turn toward your hand to ask for more! When you tell her just how sweet she is, she’ll respond with puppy babble that sounds just like she’s talking to you!

She loves her squeaky toy — when you make it squeak, she’ll turn her head toward the sound! When you put her toy bone in her mouth, she’ll make crunching sounds like she’s chewing it.

what isn’t on my kids list? My child wants a Rockstar Mickie, any and all musical instruments, the largest nerf guns i can find, a bike, every Imaganext toy under the sun– the pirate ship, the rocketship, all the batman toys. Oh and he has also asked for an I-pad. LOL! We are going to have to heart to heart about Santa’s limitations.

She wanted a dog, a stuffed animal, a v-tech, and some other things that i may be able to get her. But, she would love to have one of these i seen her playing with it on the aisle in the store. My daughter would like this puppy & itty bitty twins from American Girl Doll but she decided to give the money we would havee spent on her to children in 3rd world countires instead (through World Vision). She said a gift from her brothers will be enough for her this year. I am so proud of her for giving. She is adopted from Guatemala and she knows that she could have been in the same situation as are many of these children so she has a heart of compassion.

I am a single mom of 5 children that are ages 6, 7, 8, 9, and, 9. I work very hard to try to provide for them but as any single mother knows, it’s a hard job. My 8 year old daughter told me the other day that she didn’t care what she got for Christmas as long as she got Cookie, the puppy with a bone. I started looking around at prices and could not believe that this toy cost almost $60. I would really like to see my kids get the toys they ask for this year, but I don’t know how I’m going to swing it. I had no idea that this toy had so many features and I would love to be able to see her open it on Christmas day.

After just having a baby, we can’t afford much this season and my children know to only request one main gift and be pleasantly surprised with what God blesses us with this Christmas. I’m actually having fun trying to enter these giveaways and see where God blesses. My daughter is heart set on a Disney Princess Rapunzel baby doll. I have a son who will be 2 years old December 9th. He is in love with puppies and always squeals with excitement when he sees one. He pretends to be a puppy all the time. Unfortunately, things are really bad financially this year and Im hoping to win this puppy for him since we cannot afford it and cant get a real puppy either.

There are some really strange things on my kids’ lists. Like, a gorilla suit for my prankster son! I’m scared to get that for him – he might just land someone in the hospital with a heart attack, knowing him!

My girl would love a puppy – she’s always asking for one like Grandma’s doggie but our diva kitty would seriously object to a live real one. So this could fit the bill….
