The Torch Fire Engine Revs Up the Holidays for Your Little One

Recently my daughter was given the opportunity to review the Torch the Fire Engine from Worx Toys.  She loved playing with it!

Worx Toys was started by three fathers who had an idea for a revolutionary new type of toy that combines stimulating the natural sense of curiosity in children, focusing on ages 6 to 9, with discovering how things work and learning in a fun way.

My daughter is all about learning how things work.  The truck comes with an interactive book, that tells you the story of the firetruck rushing to the scene of a forest fire.

While reading the book, you are able to press a sequence of codes of the storybook transmitter(you will need to sync the codes from the transmitter to the firetruck).

Also, while you are reading the book, the images shows you the inner workings of a firetruck.  It was really cool to see how in depth it goes.  My daughter was definitely fascinated! This toy is intended for ages 6+.

It’s a toss-up between the helicopter and the fire truck as to which toy my kids would enjoy the most. They love figuring out how things work. (Oh… and this is one toy I think Daddy would really get into too!)

  2. Mike says

Just came across this post, Funny i just bought this for my son from Fat brain and its really a cool toy he is enamored by all the lights sounds and has actually learned a few things about fire trucks. The remote control worked well its actually pretty fast for its weight size. I would love the Speedster as my son also loves sports cars… thanks!

  3. Shari says

I’d definitely go with the fire engine. My little one is interested in all things fire. I’m trying to channel that toward the good, not the pyromaniac-like. 😉

  4. says

That’s just too hard to choose. If I were to win I’d probably end up giving this to my youngest as a gift. He’s a 7 year old boy – all would appeal to him! I think he’d probably like the speedster the best though. What great toys!

  5. holly Danforth says

I would pick the race car for my lil guy. He’s really into cars he would love it. This one would be really cool to win.

  6. Amanda Ro. says

If I had my choice of the 3, I would choose the racecar. I know a very special (to me, anyways!) that would love this! Thanks!

Ah, that was a “tough choose”, as my little girl would say! I think we’re going to have to stick with Torch the firetruck, cause they are just so darn cool. (Helicopter came in a close 2nd..)

  9. Tracey says

All of them would be fantastic! But, given that Daddy loves racing, the Speedster Racecar would have to be our first choice! All look very cool!

  10. Dena Kimball says

I would choose the Speedster Racer for my son! As an educator, I love the idea that this is a learning toy. My favorite style of learning is Discovery! My son enjoys taking things apart to see how they work. This toy seems like the perfect fit for him! Thank you for this opportunity!

  11. Starla J says

This is too cool! My six year old son told me the other day that he doesn’t care what he gets for Christmas as long as he gets boy toys, lol. He would love this, plus he is trying really hard to learn how to read, reading and fun all in on, can’t beat that.

  22. Liz says

My son loves Fire trucks and racecars but he doesn’t have any helicopters so I would have to go with the Apex Helicopter!

  26. says

OH wow! This looks like so much fun. I have 3 boys – ages 2, 7, and 9. And then there is my 4rth boy… age 34. I think I’d have a hard time deciding on which one they would all like. Probably the helicopter! Thanks so much for hosting this!

  27. Sharon says

I would choose the fire engine. There’s a fire truck song we sing at toddler time that my daughter loves. Having her own fire engine would make it even more fun.

I would chose the fire truck! My son would love this as he got to be in the fire truck when they came to school. He loved it!
