In the early days of my personal blog, Better in Bulk, all of my posts revolved around the pictures I had taken of my kids that week. My blog was a way for me to share what was going on in my life.
I am approaching my 4 year anniversary of blogging in October, and although I still show off pictures of my kids and write about what’s going on in our family, a lot of what I write now is based on thoughts, ideas, and tips that I’ve discovered through my 14+ years of parenting and 4 years of social media experience.
As much as I love to use my own photos, I still find myself searching for stock photos to use frequently. Blog posts – whether a personal post or an informational article – simply aren’t complete without an image or two to illustrate what the author is saying.
Since I am very sensitive to making sure I have permission to use a photo I make it a priority to only use stock photos or pictures with a creative common license. As a photographer, I hate the idea of someone stealing my work and I don’t want to do that to anyone else.
Photos.com
Photos.com makes it easy to find stock photos to use in my posts. All I need to do is search for a term, find a picture that fits my article’s theme, and click download. It seriously couldn’t be easier.
Photos.com helps bring any creative project to life, whether it’s a personal blog, professional website, invitations, or fliers….and everything in between. They provide a huge selection of affordable images, starting as low as $1.00.
Photos.com is a division of Getty Images, the world’s leading creator and distributor of still imagery, footage and multimedia products, so their selection is enormous.

I would be searching for photos to use on my blogs (weight loss/fitness, travel, etc.). What a generous giveaway!
I agree – what an awesome giveaway!
I would use it for my blog as well — looking for pictures related to current events and such, especially in the special needs sector.
I so would use these photos for my blog!
I am always looking for:
Running Pictures – specifically moms
Do Good Philanthropic Photos
Eco Green Photos
Family Lifestyle shots
GREAT GIVEAWAY IDEA!!
I’m working on a series of fall gardening, food preserving and DIY stuff so would rely on stock photos for the areas where I don’t have my OWN pictures use. So nice to be able to have stock images you can look into for making your blog posts stand out.
Oh I would love to win this prize package. As a blogger who hardly ever takes a picture, unless it’s with my iPhone (GASP, I know), I am always looking for great quality pictures for my posts!

Cool giveaway. Def going to check out Photos.com. If I’m lucky enough to win I would use them to being life and professionalism to my blogs (posted 5 this week). Great stock photos are priceless for us boggy types.
I would love to be able to add neat photos to my blogs other than the few I take. I’m not an amazing photographer

I use stock images for a lot of the articles I write and I’m sure I would be searching for all sorts of things to suit!
Wow! this is great, got some nice pictures I could use this for.
WOW!! I’m already hooked on this site and it’s my first visit!! I too, Lolli, was a mother of five (at one time–4 teens and a baby), and now raising and homeschooling my grandson (I say #6).
Photos.com has the greatest images, and for me, they would add zest and impact to my
beginner blog posts on an “in-designing-stage” senior lifestyle blog. I hope to win, but if not,
all these posters sound deserving as well. Go 5minutesforMom!!
I am always looking for music and emotions to illustrate my blog!
I would use the images on our website for Babyhawk, specifically to provide helpful info for our friends and customers with fussy or colicky babies. Maybe we will add a community blog for info sharing! Our customers tell us that the Babyhawk carriers are amazing at calming their colicky and finicky kids who demand a comfortable position where they can look around. Rather than pushing this info out ourselves in a salesy kind of way, we would rather let our hawk moms share tips and tricks on our site, and not just about our carriers…
Thanks for the giveaway!
I’d use them on my blog to make my articles more exciting.
I would use them to promote my brother’s woodworking business
Do Good Philanthropic Photos
Eco Green Photos
Family Lifestyle shots
I would use them on my public blog so that I didn’t feel like I always have to go take a photo for every post! That would be so relaxing!
What an awesome giveaway! I would use the photos for my blog and Twitter, also to dress up other posts such as on Facebook. Thanks again!
Many thanks for your information! Honestly I have never seen anything that interesting.

You realize thus considerably relating to this subject, made me personally consider it from a lot of varied angles. Its like women and men aren’t fascinated unless it is one thing to accomplish with Lady gaga! Your own stuffs excellent. Always maintain it up!
