BlogWorld and New Media Expo Los Angeles Welcomes Type-A Parents!

20110524_bwenyc_179On November 3-5, 2011, BlogWorld & New Media Expo will be in LA — and Type-A Parent will be there too!

Yes, this year at BlogWorld LA there will be a track devoted to parent blogging. Kelby Carr, founder of Type-A Parent, is extending the reach of her own site and community, (and her fabulous Type-A Conference,) by partnering with BlogWorld for this sessions track.

I am thrilled that parent blogging will be represented this year. I spoke at BlogWorld New York this past spring and while I had a great time of course, there were not many mom and dad bloggers. I must say, I missed my peeps!

Hopefully having a parenting track will encourage more of the mom and dad blogging community to come out to BlogWorld LA. For parent bloggers, BWE is a great opportunity to stretch beyond our community and develop new connections and contacts.

I am honored to be speaking at BWELA, on a parenting panel with Amy Bair, Adam Cohen, and Josh Becker on “Reaching the Digital Family: Marketing Strategies with Mom and Dad Influencers.” I am looking forward to learning from my co-panelists and from all the other speakers in the parenting track and the other tracks as well.

Can’t wait to see all of you at Blog World too Janice! I’m so humbled by the opportunity to speak there and of course with so many other influential bloggers as yourself. Thanks for sharing this post and for the mention!

It will be a great conference for sure! I am so excited that Kelby has worked to include this parenting track – and her BWE parent blogger Twitter list is so helpful too. See you soon. :)

    Hello Ladies,
I noticed at the tail end of this email you were a bit disappointed there were not many parent bloggers.

I just wanted to let you know I am brand new to the blogging world, but I just started a blog:
If You Give A Mom A Soldier

My soldier is thrilled with this new endeavor I have taken on, and, in his own words, “D!mn mom, that page is amazing. I love you very much :)”

No better words could have been spoken by the subject that has inspired this blog – lol

Another site I feel compelled to share with you is Father Apoprentice (http://fatherapprentice.com/). I have been inspired not only by the web site design, which I love, but also the subject matter & the humorous bent it has.

Just thought I’d let you know there are a few of us parent bloggers out there :)
