Demystifying the Big Name Blogger: Velveteen Mind Gets Real with 5 Minutes for Mom

Megan from the Velveteen Mind talks with us about the crazy perceptions people have about big name bloggers, top bloggers, A List bloggers or whatever you choose to call them.

In May, Megan published a brilliant post titled Debunking, Defusing, and Demystifying the Big Name Blogger; Mommy or Otherwise. And Delurking You.

We talked with Megan about that post and the illusions and realities of blogging popularity.

Demystifying the Big Name Blogger: Velveteen Mind Gets Real with 5 Minutes for Mom from 5 Minutes for Mom on Vimeo.

Next week we will publish more of our conversation with Megan. You’ll find out more about how the People’s Party came about and how the blogosphere responded.

    again – great video.

It’s natural to want to fit in with the popular crowd and be liked. Who doesn’t, right? I know I want people to like me. :) I think it’s great when the more popular bloggers help out the newbies. It certainly helps our community grow.

And if I ever make it to Blogher, I hope the People’s Party is there!
