So Janice has been hopping all around the USA attending conference after conference all the while assuming I had booked the details of our trip to BlogHer in San Diego August 5 through 6th.
Well, that’s one of the troubles about having a twin… you each assume the other has taken care of the details.
A friend emailed Janice to say that the hotel for BlogHer ’11 is SOLD OUT!!!
Janice freaked.
I tried to calm her down and toss some of the blame back her way, and then I booked us a room at the alternate hotel the Omni San Diego. It’s apparently at the convention center as well so I don’t think it’s quite the disaster we thought it may be at first.
Now, I suppose I’ll take this reminder to book our airline tickets.
So tonight that’s the highlight of my tackles… Hotel and Airline Reservations for BlogHer’11.
Tell us… do you ever procrastinate on booking your conference tickets or hotel tickets? What about your airline tickets? Do you book those as soon as you book your conference tickets?

This week, I tackled my one-year old son’s toy box! I’m also teaching him to be part of the “toy taming” process by showing him how to sort and organize his toys. He sees it as a game, which is great!
Great idea to keep it as a game. Have fun!
Procrastination weather it’s tickets or booking your hotel before a show, is easy to manage
Let me tell you about your next anti-procrastination tool, IQTELL’s web-application.
IQTELL was designed to fight procrastination by organizing all your activities, tasks, to do’s, emails, documents and projects (including household and travel) in one place…no more “I forgot”.
I want to invite to our beta – http://www.iqtell.com/ and talk to you about your opinion
Sounds very interesting Michelle… I’ve never heard of that site before. I’ll take a look. Thanks.
Send me a mail to Michelle@iqtell.com and I’ll invite you personally
Yes, I definitely procrastinate when it’s something I don’t enjoy doing! You are not alone!
Glad to hear I’m not alone.
Today i`m teaching my daughter how to clean up mess in her own room. And she is enjoying doing it!
Wow! Good for you both.
I tackled this Beach Utility Belt for my little girl who LOVES to collect things on the beach, but can’t carry the heavy buckets around!
Thanks for hosting!
Oh… great idea. I’ll check it out.
I would love to go to Blog Her but since I don’t fly, I’ll have to wait for it to be closer to home. Hope y’all have fun though!
This BlogHer is closer for us as we’re West Coast gals… just further North in Vancouver, BC Canada. Hope you make it to one sometime… it’s lots of fun. But there are many other conferences in various locations so perhaps you can hit one of those.
I wish I were going to BlogHer…..but after the jet lag that I’ve experienced yesterday and today, maybe I’m better off staying home. Wait. I didn’t fly to Type-A. How do I have jet lag??
Your “jet lag” may have something to do with the extreme late nights at Type-A. Sounds like much fun was had there.
HAH!!! I literally *just* found out I’m going to BlogHer today and googled “blogher11 hotel” to get to your site
What are the odds? I was actually gonna email you too to see if you all were going, haha… so I guess that answer is yes. Now off to see if there are more hotel rooms open at the Omni! Will be cool to meet up again – been a few months since Blissdom
That is so fun that your BlogHer hotel google search brought us up. Kinda makes my night. Thanks for sharing.
