We've done it 3 times now and it's been good for the boys and the seniors. We have both friends to be made and lessons to be learned in this experience. It's something I hope to continue for quite a while. Right now because my son is only 3 1/2 he knows that once a year before the holidays we will donate his toys and clothes that are in good condition to charity. I volunteered a lot as a child and give to orgnizations often as an adult. I know that we'll be getting our kids more involved in hands on volunteering very soon as well.
