What a fun contest.
Talking about blogging (and blog-conferencing) is almost better than blogging, don’t you agree?
I hope that you read through the links at our $250 BlogHer Scholarship, sponsored by HP. They were fun, although I wasn’t looking forward to having to pick a winner on my own, with Janice out of town, and Susan hard at work on the next big thing for 5 Minutes for Mom (stay tuned!), it was all me.
Janice set the guidelines: “You could write about who you want to meet, why you want to go, what you are going to pack, anything! Make us laugh, be creative – just make your post stand out in the crowd and Jennifer might pick you!”
So–totally subjective, and all up to me (even though I’m not even going this year).
I could have picked the blogger who wrote a little poem/song,
I could have selected a brand-new blogger who stepped out in faith to attend her first conference,
I could have picked the one who despaired that her baby is better dressed than she is (aren’t they all),
or I could have picked the blogger who just needed a little help deciding which shoes to take along.
I almost picked the one who poked a little fun at our Canadian-accented site-owners (Y’all have got to hear them talk. The accents aren’t that strong, but they are some fast-talking mamas, and just as fun as you’ve imagined them to be.).
But the winner is. . . . .
Why?
She addressed me by name (a little buttering up never hurts), but not only that, she let her family beg shamelessly. How could I resist the cute little fellas? Go read her full entry, and look for her at BlogHer!

Congrats! I had a feeling it would be you (if it couldn’t be me, eh). I hope to run into you at the People’s Party next week.
