Tackle It Tuesday #107

by Carolyn

Hello Ladies :) It’s nice to see you again…

This week I would like to share with you something that I hope will break some HUGE strongholds down in my life! You see I struggle BIG TIME with laziness, depression, anger, anxiety and sadly enough disobedience and rebellion to God!

Well I am tired of being called a sluggard and a rebellious child – because I know it’s true – but now that I really see the knowledge of this truth, I have a responsibility!

So I picked something back up that I have been meaning to tackle YEARS ago!!! Something that I know for a fact will help all these struggles combined! Seriously this has been a thought – a work in progress – since my little JJ was a baby!

Wondering what it is? It’s a routine! A schedule! This is something I have needed all my life that was never taught to me and I REFUSE to train my children up in that same way!

Here it is my dears… now just pray that I will be able to stick to it…

… OH! And I also tackled some MORE junk in my garage! Take a look…

What are you tackling? Link up and let us know!

We’re making housework blog-able!

Each week on Tuesday, we are posting before and after pictures of a project or trouble area that we tackled this week.

Find out more about Tackle It Tuesday here.

The project can be little or big – whatever you want. Basically, Tackle It Tuesday is about giving ourselves incentive, deadlines and satisfaction in getting our household tasks done. (It doesn’t even have to be housework… just whatever is on your To Do list.)

If you tackled a project this week, just add a comment and add your link below.

Happy Tackling Ladies!

I’m not sure if my “tackle” is a big enough one, but I thought it would be fun to join in. Thanks:)

Hi, I’m new here. ^_^

I’d like to tackle something too in my end. But sadly, the time difference here is so big, it’s already

Your schedule is awesome! I’m going to need to make one of those for myself!

I tackled my linen closet today and I have some great pictures in there, just like your garage. Doesn’t it feel great to have it done?

I haven’t participated in the Tackle It Tuesday, I just wanted to say that your garage looks a lot better now! And I like your list. I tend to struggle with some of the things you struggle with (laziness, rebellion towards God, and more). I plan on being a stay-at-home mother next year and I think I may need a list similar to yours to help me organize each day. Good luck with your list! I hope you can stick to it!

I need to print off a copy of that schedule. I know it would be very helpful! Your garage looks great!

Way to go on the schedule! Now that summer is here, I need to make a summer schedule. Great job on the garage too! We tackled a baby shower this week.

I didn’t actually do my project on Tuesday, but I posted it today. Does that count? It is so nice to know other people have to use things like this to get them motivated too.

Your garage is looking great! (I don’t even enter mine…)

I have a very similar problem with motivation/depression, etc. and have worked on making schedules in the past. The problem is something will come up and we get off schedule and I end up scrapping the whole thing. You’ll have to let me know how it works out!

Oh, I am so sorry. I forgot to leave a comment this morning and I messed up on the URL for my Tackle. So if you visited my blog and there was no post, you can go back, now the link is fixed.

Great tackle in the garage and I have a similar list, but most of it is already in my head. From time to time I have to refer to it still, especially after changes in family routines. I will have to update mine before next week when summer holidays start. Good reminder!

Wow, you sound a lot like me!!!
(And your garage looks a lot like mine.)

That is the first schedule I’ve ever seen that looks like it would work for me… the way you’ve just used times like before 10:00am. I LOVE that b/c it’s not so rigid and it allows flexibility.

Maybe you’ll even inspire me to make up a family schedule!

You go girl!

I love the chart! I have to have one! :0) Did you make that yourself or find it somewhere..and if so, where? :0)
I admire how honest you are with us and I appreciate it. I will be joining each week now. I’ll have to figure out my project for today. It’s NOT that nothing comes to mind, it’s that TOO MUCH comes to mind. My house too has been dragging me down with too much having gone out of control. The biggest project is my closet but I’ll be honest…that won’t happen TODAY. BUT I will pick another one!

Nice schedule. I’ve been wanting to do a schedule for years but keep rebelling against the idea. I may revisit it since I’m inspired by yours. It definitely would help to make the day more productive.

I really like your list. I have a lot of your issues as well, laziness being the biggest and I do better with list but then I fall away from it. I like you everyday set up. I am going to try that. Thanks for sharing!!

Your garage is equal to my attic, since I have no garage. WTG! Now we can collapse and be proud!

I like the idea of “get it done by” a certain time. That’s different than how I organize my to-do’s during the day. I generally use categories: house, errands, computer stuff, etc. Hmmm…

I’ve never done a tackle it Tuesday but mine fits for today and Wordless Wednesday! I got tired of the pick up your toys battle and just removed the ability to have anything to complain about for a while. I have now been deemed the “Worst Mommy Ever!” LOLOLOL – Happy Birthday to me! :)

I love the way your schedule has times “before 12:00″ etc. It seems a bit more flexible than ones I’ve tried. Could you somehow link it so we could print it out?

I could use a schedule myself…let me know how it works for you..I may print yours up and use it myself. =)

Garage looks great btw. good job!

Hi,

I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed with structure and organization. I’ll be praying for you also. It’s only with the Lord that we are able to do the right thing. I tackled a garage also. Look at the tackle.

Great list. I end to make a summer schedule for the kids & I, so that we can stay on track. Once you let any time go by it is hard to get them back on track. Garage looks great.

I tackled end of the school year/sports season stuff. Including scrapbooking projects, coaches and teachers gifts, filing important paperwork (including report cards) and cleaning out closets that are used for school/sports stuff to make them ready for summer/camping/fishing stuff!

Well, O.K. there are those perfect post that are set to time. Gods time. Darling this is one of them. You see I have been on a new medication for a major depressive disorder/pure anxiety due to a biological chemical imbalance. My new meds have slowed me to a lethargic crawl. Me who is always so full of creative juices. It has been a real battle. On top of it all are two beautiful special needs children who have many medical needs. We are also in the process of selling our home. My sweet brain just tripped over it all, and now I need time to heal while continuing with daily love and life. Your honesty and simple beauty reminded me that we are all a part of a whole and I don’t need to hide. Your loving gentle example helps to pull me up. I would love for you to set the chart you made to a pdf file so we all could benefit. I need that outside me focus to endure the daily journey God has so trustingly set me on.
thanks.

I find the need to “tackle” my three boys several times a day, seven days a week. : )
