I love this site…Great information and a good feeling. I also want to let you know about the CSN Stores (just ranked among the Top 3 online retailers of home goods from beds to strollers and decor to dining room tables). We’ve been around for almost six years and have sites like CSNBaby.com, AllModernBaby.com, Strollers.com, Cookware.com, CSNStores.com and 200 others. AND, just today, we started Family-Focused Fridays on our CSN Blog. I write the Family-Focused Fridays column, as a very proud Dad, with a lot of opinions and the desire to hear more from Moms, Dads and any other people raising kids. Come to http://blog.csnstores.com/ and check us out. We also have a national survey telling you what Dads want most for Father’s Day, so you might want to see that, too. Have a great weekend. Best, Chloe’s Dad

You need a special needs Mommy blogger to represent and give ideas for those Moms with kids that don’t always reside within the confines of ‘typical’.
She could review products geared for the special needs community. She could share ideas to help with PT, ST, and OT goals. She could share lesson plan ideas to help parents reinforce IEP goals. She could lead parents to sources to help them create the best IEP plans possible for their child
She could be a friendly face for parents facing a new diagnosis. And someone who could direct new parents to places where they can learn about that new diagnosis and meet other parents traveling their same path.
She could be a positive voice in a society that tends to shy away from or even fear anyone that may be’different’……..and perhaps bridge that gap between ignorance and acceptance.
And having this person be a certified teacher who just happens to be married to a Principal wouldn’t hurt either.
Special Needs Moms need 5 Minutes for themselves too.
But, you know, I’m just sayin’….. 🙂
