I love watching Jon and Kate Plus Eight with Jackson. I figure if he sees the chaos and stress going on in their household, that maybe, in comparison, the chaos and stress of life with a work-at-home-mom might not look so bad. (That is not to say that I don’t think they are doing a fabulous job raising all those kids! I think they are awesome and I love how committed and loving they are to each other despite how exhausting their lives must be.)
Jackson loves to watch it too, so tonight we popped some popcorn and settled in to watch some episodes I taped.
At one point when Kate was visibly stressed, I said, “That must be really stressful. Mommy and Daddy get stressed out with just two kids – it must be really stressful having eight!”
Jackson calmly replied, “I could do it. I wouldn’t get stressed. I would just do Karate moves on them if they weren’t listening.”

Do Jon and Kate have parents who help? As a grandma, it would be a hoot to be there.

I’m a grandma and I’d love to be in the middle of that gang. Do Jon and Kate have parents who help?

I adore that family! I’ll be so sad when it goes off the air. They are the most fun family to watch. I loved Jackson’s reply to all the choas! LOL

Hey Moms … We had our fifth child back last year, and I was looking for flexible ways to make some extra money while she stayed home with kids. As we turned to the internet, and started researching different ideas, she continually ran into scam and spam at every turn. As I became more involved, we realized there were money making opportunities, they just need to be uncovered and understood. While much of this has been trial and error, we started to discover what was successful and what wasn’t. At this point, it was time to document some ideas and successes, and hopefully get some feedback and suggestion from other entrepreneurs. Of course, part of this blog in itself is not only to share ideas, but hopefully gather a viewer and referral base, to have more opportunities for everyone to be successful.
Cheers.

I loved that. Sometimes I go into another (empty) room and do karate chops in the air to relieve frustration, but I have yet to do it on my children!

Oh–so Karate is the secret, huh? I guess I’ll have to learn some moves!
What a great idea to watch it together and take the teachable moments about how life has changed with a baby in the house.
Smart mama!
