April Fools???What happens when you tell your friend (and boss!) that you have a great Tackle that you’d take over for her this week? Then you don’t write it down, and Tuesday morning at 12:01am EST comes pretty quickly??

Yep, your friend feels like a fool, but I’ve finally stepped up to the plate–a little late (Read the whole story about Tackling April Fool’s Day at my site).

I do have a good Tackle this week.

A little background: A couple of weeks ago, we had our wood floors refinished. That meant we had to get every piece of furniture, every book, every picture frame and candle and throw rug and piece of paper off of the first level of our house. So we moved boxes and piles to the basement and to the great catch-all here in my house–The Guest Bedroom.

Yesterday my sister-in-law and niece arrived, so I knew that I was going to have to get that guest room back in order.

I don’t have an After shot (because I’m an April Fool, remember?), but I’ll tell you that my guests are happily and peacefully sleeping in a cleaned out, vacuumed, dusted room.

It was quite a Tackle, and I’m glad that I had the accountability of guests to make sure I got everything whipped into shape.

The project can be little or big – whatever you want. Basically, Tackle It Tuesday is about giving ourselves incentive, deadlines and satisfaction in getting our household tasks done. (It doesn’t even have to be housework… just whatever is on your To Do list.)

That’s the one thing about painting, refinishing floors, etc, I hate — that we have to put it all back together again.

I love tackling stuff! Thanks for this meme. Every Tuesday it inspires me to attack something. And that’s always good, especially when one has PMS.

Wow I can’t imagine the chaos of moving everything for refinishing floors…

I’m really proud of my Tackle it project. I actually got crafty and I don’t consider myself a crafty person. LOL

Oh yes, it somehow always seems like having guests helps us finish those tackles that need to be done! :)

Hi! I tackled my husband’s surprise 40th birthday party. It was an event that grew and took over my life and the lives of many of our friends. But he was surprised, a number of times…I can’t believe we pulled this off! Your post made me laugh because part of this event was having guests (also a surprise to my husband) at our place, and it was definitely a challenge getting it set up in our house too…

I need to tackle an in house project every day, but being realistic one day a week is probably all I can faithfully manage and still may fall off the wagon.

All day long I went running about without a prank… until it was time to post my Tackle It Tuesday link today… then Mr. Linky decided I really wanted to post a link from last week! Naughty Mr. Linky!!!
(At least– that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!)

Anywho, today was a quick photo tour of the kids’ room… pretty much done, finally! Anyone wanna volunteer to sew bedskirts and paint their dresser? Then I’ll finally be able to cross that one off the to do list. But still, it’s close enough that ya’ll finally get pictures.

Goodnight!

Shauntelle
