Award Winning Superstructs for Your Little Builder

My four-year-old son is my little builder. He can spend hours playing with blocks and legos. I knew that he would just love his own custom kit from Superstructs.

Award-winning Superstructs by WABA Fun LLC, are the vibrant plastic rod and connector style construction toys that feature safe, durable EVA foam panels that ‘pop’ between the rods and joints.

New this year are Superstructs Custom Kits, an easy online system where anyone can design and personalize their own toy building set. Gift givers can select from over 24,000 possible combinations to give to an inquisitive child. Superstructs sets are suitable for children ages 3 and up.

The kits have already caught the attention of industry award programs, most recently winning a prestigious Fall 2010 Parents’ Choice Recommended Award. The kits also won two awards from Dr. Toy: 100 Best Children’s Products and 10 Best Creative Products for 2010

My son and I sat down together, visited the Superstructs site and picked out 3 kits, the motorcycle, forklift and race car. We then selected a box design and for the personalization option, I had him type out his name. He LOVED seeing his name right there on his Superstructs box.

We had a blast customizing his Superstructs kit and he has been having a ball putting his models together.

He has used Tinkertoys in the past and is familiar with the rod and connector type construction, so the Superstructs aren’t too much of a challenge for him. He has been building the models along with his daddy and it makes for perfect father son bonding time.

If there is a little builder on your Christmas list, I can not recommend Superstructs enough. Of course we have one Superstructs custom kit to give away. Our winner will be able to select three sets.

Would be a big hit here for sure! The dragster and funny car especially! Maybe the jet to round it out? Can you tell my guy is a speed-lover?

  2. Amanda says

I actually have a daughter, but she is very much into legos and building things. Would be a great project to have her daddy help her with. I know her dad would love the jet as he is a pilot!

  3. kim says

My daughter loves playing with legos now. I am sure both my husband and daughter would love to see what they could build with these!

  4. Debby Morgan says

This is the neatest toy. You could spend hours and hours building different things. My grandson would love it and I would love to be able to give it to him. Great gift, thanks for having this as a prize.

  5. Debra Morgan says

What a great, educational toy. Boys and girls would love it. I have four grandkids that would love to play with this when they come to spend the night. I love watching their little brains working trying to figure out what to build! Thanks for giving me a chance to win!

Neat! I hadn’t seen this product yet. Reagan (5) specifically asked for more Tinker Toys for Christmas. I may have to check this out instead. :)

Those look like so much fun, I’ve seen those before but never knew what they were called. I like how you can use them to build and make stuff but they aren’t as small as Legos and less of choking hazzard.

What a cool idea! My four year old is constantly playing with legos, knex, and trio. She would love this! I like WABA fb page

These would be perfect for my Grandbebe Boy JoJo! He is 5 and always wants to play with my Bebe Boy James’ building sets, but they are a little ‘old’ for him (James is 10). Thanks so much for the chance to win!

Looks like a lot of fun – a modern version of tinker toys (and the little girls in my life just love those). I also like the personalization option – what little kid DOESN’T like seeing their name in big official letters. Although I am reminded of Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle and the selfishness cure too :)

  12. Beckie says

my almost 4 year old would love this…. she tries to play lego’s w/her older bother and sister so I think she would have a blast with it.

  13. Brenda Vicario says

Any little boy would love to have these sets I’m sure:) I would choose the Forklift , Dragster, Boom Truck & Crane because then my younger child could build anything with all the pieces and eventually be old enough to build the items correctly!

  14. says

OH OH OH….I have been looking for Tinker Toys for my son (the only thing he asked for other then a few video games) and these would be so much better!!! Oh, please pick me for this one.

I have a BIG builder in my family…my husband…he’s outnumbered by 6 little ladies in the house…he’d have a blast with this! lol…plus I have nephews that would love a gift from Aunt Amy! thanks for the coupon code too!
