Tackle it Tuesday — Tackling with
ARM & HAMMER® Power Gel Laundry Detergent

by Janice

Over the years, I have tackled my laundry piles many times in Tackle it Tuesday. Because really, isn’t laundry a constant tackle for everyone?!?

This week, we have a special laundry tackle — we are tackling with ARM & HAMMER® Power Gel Laundry Detergent, America’s first gel detergent!

Not only am I tackling my personal laundry pile, but a month ago, forty of you tacklers signed up to tackle with ARM & HAMMER® Power Gel Laundry Detergent as well!

If you are one of those forty tacklers, we have a special linky for you below to link up your ARM & HAMMER® laundry tackle.
And for those of you visiting today to share your regular week’s tackle — thanks so much for participating! There is a linky for non-laundry tackle posts below too!

My Laundry Tackle

But first, here is my laundry tackle this week. I was so excited to use ARM & HAMMER® Power Gel Laundry Detergent because it uses ARM & HAMMER® baking soda (I use it all the time!), it contains OxiClean® stain remover, (my favorite stain remover!) and it is biodegradable, with NO phosphates!

Here is the ever present laundry pile — always big after the weekend!

I had regular stains in the pile…

But I thought I would ALSO put ARM & HAMMER® Power Gel Laundry Detergent to the test with some EXTRA tough stains!

Yes — I rubbed in some of those brutal stains that keep us moms scrubbing overtime! I made blueberry stains, grass stains, dirt stains and even tomato and meat sauce stains!

I was very impressed with how ARM & HAMMER® Power Gel Laundry Detergent helped me tackle such messes!

I pre-treated the stains with the gel before adding to the wash. I then washed in a warm/cold cycle. After one load, not all of the blueberry and tomato stains were gone, so I treated them once more and put them through with my next load.

In the end, without any scrubbing or soaking, almost all the stains were gone. One spot of rubbed in tomato and meat sauce and a couple small marks from the blueberry stains were still visible, but I had really rubbed in those stains! LOL I think if next time I leave them to soak a little longer, they will come out completely.

Here are my after photos:

That’s awesome! I love learning about the Arm&Hammer product. I usually buy what’s on sale, but that’s often Arm & Hammer (and it’s lower to start with). I think that sometimes the “off-brands” don’t quite do the job, but Arm & Hammer is really my favorite, because of price.

I’ve been using the Arm & Hammer for a month or so now myself on my own and it does do a great job on cleaning, especially hubby and son’s extra messy/stinky stuff. It is a tad bit too harsh on some of my clothing though.
