My favorite book was The Innocent Man. I love John Grisham and James Patterson, although with a little one and teaching full time I do not get to read as much as I would love to.

Most fun fiction; it's kind of embarrasing because I borrowed the books from my 15 year old neice and I'm 34, but the Twilight series! I couldn't put them down. I felt like I was in high school again, neglected my homemaking duties, and enjoyed myself for several days.

If you need a quick read to get your money and marriage on track, this was very easy and helped me think over what my (our) goals will be relating to giving, spending and saving (Christian-based book): Your Money Counts by Howard Dayton. Enjoy!!

I tried a new genre this year, on the request of a student of mine. Science fiction for young adults. Gregor the Overlander (5 books in the series) by Suzanne Collins. My favorite is still James Patterson, though.

The Kite Runner - I love reading out of my comfort zone occasionally and found this one riveting. I couldn't put it down!

Until this week, I would have said "A Spot of Bother" by Mark Haddon was my favorite book of 2007. But then I finished "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak, and it just bowled me over.

I have tried a lot of new authors this year; Haddon and Zusak were two of them. The rest of my reading list is on my Web site, if you're interested.
