Tackle It Tuesday – The Family Calendar

by Janice

I’m scrambling to pack my bags for yet another trip, but before I leave I needed to tackle our family calendar.

Keeping track of ballet, preschool, piano and hockey lessons not to mention birthday parties and playdates requires full family involvement. It’s not good enough for me to have the information stored on my computer for me to see, I need it right in front of everyone’s face.

So I decided to create a Family Calendar for our fridge. The only problem was first I had to make room on the fridge…

For those of you visiting today to share your tackle — THANKS for coming!!! Link up below.

Happy Tackling!

What are you tackling this week? Link up your Tackle it Tuesday post…

Tell us what you’re up to with all your other tackles… housework and otherwise… add your link to your tackle in the MckLinky below!

Each week on Tuesday, we are posting before and after pictures of a project or trouble area that we tackled this week.

Find out more about Tackle It Tuesday here.
The project can be little or big – whatever you want.

Basically, Tackle It Tuesday is about giving ourselves incentive, deadlines and satisfaction in getting our household tasks done.

(It doesn’t even have to be housework… just whatever is on your To Do list.)

If you tackled a project this week, just add a comment and add your link below.

Here is a fun thumbnail style linky…

If the thumbnail Linky doesn’t work for you — or you prefer the old style, you can enter in the linky below.

The fridge looks great! I just dug out my calendar after forgetting about an appointment. Fortunately the appointment was at my house (horses were being vaccinated) so I ddin’t miss it, but boy did I feel foolish.

Your “before” fridge looks like mine! :) Great Tackle!
But I LOVE the idea of putting the family calendar on there!
Thank you for hosting! :)

@ Ann Marie, agreed! Looks very much like mine! I totally need to get my fridge in order at some point. Maybe for next week’s Tackle project? For now, just going to work on unloading my dishwasher in record time!

You’re fridge looks great! I prefer to keep my fridge clear of anything. I always get overwhelmed when I see a bunch of notes stuck to it. LOL I’m a new follower and look forward to checking out all your wonderful posts. Happy Tuesday! :)

Heh, that’s what my fridge looked like before we moved! Now I have all the pictures in a box and I intend to make a memory board for them.
But I have a regular calendar on the wall for keeping track of schedules. Otherwise my husband would never know what was going on! :) And we don’t have recurring things like lessons, just events like weddings and birthdays now!

We tackled our office and microwave stand on the week-end. However no pictures or blog posts about it.

To answer your question though we use the Cozi app on iPhone to track our family stuff. Has shopping lists, calendars where you can assign colors to family members. E-mail/text reminders AND you can also access your account online to do everything.
