I know what you mean by the grass always being greener. We are lucky here because the weather seems to hold in the 70's with nice tradewinds, but we did have 40 straight days of rain in April which devistated Hawaii, so I think this is God's little present to us. I hope your heat breaks soon.

Yeah - it is true that we always look for the greener grass on the other side. Not only with summer, but many other things in life.
So, you don't have A/C? Hm. Couldn't do that here with 110+ during the summer months.

The only thing I don't like about summer is it is gone in a flash.
Fall, ditto, winter, ditto, spring, ditto.

Life, ditto

Uh huh! You said it. The grass is always greener over on the other side. :) I can't wait for winter when it is the dead of summer, and in the dead of winter I am looking forward to spring. I love every season for different reasons, but seem to tire of them during the extremes. And last week was pretty extreme.

I feel the same way. I wait patiently until summer so everything doesn't look dead anymore and get very annoyed with the heat. Its not so much the heat that gets me, just the humidity. I could take the heat with a good dose of pools and ice cream with out the humidity!

See, I'm always consistent. In the winter, I love winter. In the summer, I hate summer. I love the cold, I hate the heat.

What I think is that 'perfect' summer/spring/fall/winter weather looks appealing. We don't think of extremes when we think of perfect days. I hate winter, but what I really hate is when it hits single digits after a thaw, and the snow turns to dangerous ice. I don't really hate summer, but like most people I can do without triple digits! (Poor people in Queens have been without power for days now! I feel so sorry for them!) The perfect fall day we imagine is crisp and cool and colorful, not rainy and gloomy. Same with spring, only different colors. Well, at least those 'bad' days don't last too long!

Viewing your post via bloggingchicks.

I would not know about winter, I live in Texas. I have seen snow on the ground here maybe three times in 50 years. Now, if you want to compare heat stories, count me in ... LOL
