A Bathroom Counter Catch All

It may be a small tackle - but this basket on my bathroom counter has become an out of control catch all. I barely use most of the stuff in it - it is too full of junk to be useful. So small or not - this definitely needed to be tackled. (And I was too tired today to tackle any big projects.)

Here is the mess before:

And here is the after shot:

Ooh, my first Tackle It Tuesday and I’m the first to post my link too! What a pretty way to store your bits & pieces, without having to line them up neatly - I might have to hunt out something similar.

Sometimes it’s really the small tackles that really make you feel like you’ve gotten something accomplished because it’s usually something you’ve been putting off forever… Great job! :)

#3 - Sarah @ 9:52 am

Looks great! I have ’several’ of those small tackles that really need to get done! Thanks for sharing!

#4 - Colleen @ 10:30 am

I had a similar basket too and I find that I use the contents much more with it cleaned out!

#5 - Twisted Cinderella @ 10:31 am

Looks great! I love those types of tackles. They just feel so good when they are done.

#6 - Mommy @ 10:52 am

It may be a small tackle, but one nevertheless. If you don’t keep up with the small ones, then you will get bigger ones! Looks a lot nicer. :)

#7 - Beckie @ 11:03 am

Cute basket!! I love baskets.

Blessings!

#8 - Butterfly Mama @ 11:04 am

Yeah, maybe I should tackle my bathroom sink next week too!!!! I too love the basket.

My tackle today is huge but the little ones feel just as good to gone through and cleaned up!

I don’t care if it is a “small” tackle, great job! Small tackles are the best sometimes, because even if we can’t do a big one, at least we can feel great that we did something. Besides, you have a new baby in the house, you are allowed small tackles. :-)

#12 - Phoenixthebloggingmama @ 2:16 pm

With a new baby I think only small tackles for awhile! ;) Good job, my bathroom is the one place I like to try to keep organized!

It’s amazing how much stuff we keep around because we just don’t know what to do with it. I find myself getting so accustomed to my piles that I just wok around them and don’t even notice them any more. Hate those piles!

#14 - peppylady @ 2:52 pm

Sometime it seems that we put off the smaller tackles.

#15 - 2boys2teach @ 3:37 pm

I tackled “mini” problem areas as well this week. Blessings All!

Doesn’t it feel great? I tackled the HUGE and I mean H-U-G-E task of sorting and putting away summer clothes and pulling out winter clothes for my youngest child. He is almost 2 and has more clothes than I care to admit. Alot are handmedowns from my 5 year old, but this kid has alot of clothes. Geesh…it’s sad really.

BUT…it’s done and I feel GREAT! :)

Tuesday again…
thank goodness for Tuesday or I’d be forever living in chaos.
That’s a very pretty basket you tackled.
Is that tea tree oil I see?

#19 - Danielle @ 11:28 pm

I finally finished my football pillow. So exciting!!! :)

Funny that you tackled the bathroom yesterday. That is what I did too. I had a cabinet full of clean towels and no room for my lotions, hair products, and other products. I went out a bought an extra large oval basket and folded all of the towels into it and set it on top of my dryer (you could also set on the floor or a shelf if you have the room). This allowed me to organize the cabinets with my products and now my towels are looking decorative for the holidays.
