Tackle it Tuesday

Our New Expert

I started Tackle it Tuesday four years ago, not because I was an expert tackler, but because I was not! I needed some bloggy accountability and inspiration to tackle my household tasks.

But in order to help all of us in tackling shape, we figured it was time to bring in a tackling expert to help us hone our tackling skills – especially since spring cleaning season is here!

So, to get you in tackling form this spring we will be featuring the Certified Professional Organizer April Welch.

After meeting April at the Mom 2.0 Summit in February, we knew we had to pick her brain about getting organized! Known as the official Mental Clutter Coach, April has recently begun airing ‘webisodes’ to show busy families what de-cluttering really looks like {and we love that she shows us with her own clutter!}

April’s First Tackle

Here is a video clip of April’s first tackle at 5 Minutes for Mom. This is her catch-all clutter space in her master bedroom…

So sit back, enjoy that clip & then watch the rest of the tackle at TheMentalClutterCoach.com.

What are YOU tackling this week? Link up show off…

Tell us what you’re up to with all your other tackles… housework and otherwise… add your link to your tackle in the MckLinky below!

Each week on Tuesday, we are posting before and after pictures of a project or trouble area that we tackled this week.

Find out more about Tackle It Tuesday here.
The project can be little or big – whatever you want.

Basically, Tackle It Tuesday is about giving ourselves incentive, deadlines and satisfaction in getting our household tasks done.

(It doesn’t even have to be housework… just whatever is on your To Do list.)

If you tackled a project this week, just add a comment and add your link below.

Oh what fun!! I look forward to reading her contributions here at 5 Minutes for Mom! I posted a link to my recipe page this week. I was code tackling this weekend — and I figured out how to create thumbnails to my recipes! :) Have a great Tuesday!

I went over and watched all the videos. You mentioned the 3 foot system for sorting? What exactly do you mean? I’m sure I understand the end result because whenever I start tackling a project, for example laundry, I take it up to my daughter’s room and find a dirty glass. So I take the glass to the kitchen and start cleaning there only to find a pair of shoes that need to go on the shoe rack. So I go to the shoe rack and start sorting out shoes that are too small…and it goes on and on never actually finishing anything. I’m guessing whatever the strategy is, it helps keep you on track.
