I found this family through Steph too and the story of Hannah’s drowning broke my heart. The minute Rob walked into the house I said, “You won’t believe what happened today.” So, so sad. And like you, I cannot imagine losing my child.

Janice, I read about this tragedy just days after reading about two near-drowning victims (children of bloggers), so I have decided to host a day of prayer, this coming Thursday, for the children of the blogosphere.

I can’t even imagine what they’re going through right now. I remember last year when I saw my daughter on the bottom of a swimming pool and jumped in to get her. Luckily for us, things turned out well. I will definitely stop by and send my condolences.

This is the second time this has happened this summer in the blogging community that I know of. My blogging friend lost his little boy in a drowning accident not long ago.

Now, to see this, it’s just too hard for a mother’s heart to take. I can’t imagine what that family is going through if *I* am hurting this badly!

Janice, I could hardly fall asleep last night because I could not stop thinking about the family. Thank you for posting this- I don’t even know them, I just know Jess through blogging, but I feel like it’s happened right next to me and I must do something. We must lift them up in prayer. They need it more than we could ever imagine. This story has just gripped my heart in a way that I can’t explain.
