This last year, while teaching history to the children, we all decided to get involved in Civil War reenacting as a hobby. The children have REALLY enjoyed it. Living history: battles, ladies' teas, campfires, balls (as in dances), sutlers, camping, cooking over an open flame -- all rolled up into one package. :) With nine children, any hobbies I have revolve around the family.
