Checking In From New York

by Erica

Erica here…

Oh Ladies, I am having such a wonderful time here in the city. I will admit that I am pretty dang cold. I headed here from Colorado Springs, where it was a whopping 4 degrees. You would think that I wouldn’t be as cold as I am, but when that wind blows….OH MY! But the busy city streets and Christmas lights, help distract from the bitter cold air.

I had my first slice of Junior’s Cheesecake, which was DELIGHTFUL. I chose the Devil’s Food Cheesecake, which is basically chocolate cake with a layer of original cheesecake in the middle. SCRUMPTIOUS. The lovely wait staff serenaded me, and I did get a bit embarassed.

This morning, we got up bright and early to get in line for standby tickets for SNL. We waited for about an hour for tickets. Thankfully the scenery was breathtaking.

We are off soon to ice skate at Rockefeller and then we are headed to the Longacre Theatre to see Burn The Floor. Isn’t The Longacre Theatre stunning?!? What beautiful architecture.

Okay, time to hit up the city streets. I’ll check in again later.

Erica, I am so happy for you. It looks like you’re having a fabulous time. That’s awesome that you got tickets for at least the dress rehearsal.

Thanks so much for publishing the pictures. I feel almost like I’m there with you.

Fun! It isn’t always this cold. It was BITTER on Friday.

I think you’ll love Burn the Floor. Let me know!

Look how cute you are, Erica! I totally love that photo when you are just “a bit embarrassed.”

How was the SNL dress rehearsal, by the way? It sounds like you’re having a wonderful time. :)
