Say It Forward – Week 44: Today’s loyal commenter award goes to Ann Marie of Household 6 Diva.
Ann Marie is a hip, fun, savvy mom to three children ages 4, 2 and 3 months. She is also a military wife to Seth, a soldier in the United States Army. And that is where she gets the unique name of her blog.
A Household 6 wife is derived from military terminology meant to designate the Army wife as the head honcho. As described on Ann Marie’s blog: A military man’s wife. The head of the household. The one that keeps up with the arduous tasks of washing uniforms, picking up smelly PTs, going to the commissary and PX, raising the children, packaging care packages…you get our drift! A HH6 is the one in charge of everything! The name is derived from where said wife spends most of her time (the household), and the number 6 is the designation for a commander of a Company/Troop, Battalion/Squadron, Brigade/Regiment, Division or Corps. ((Used in a sentence – “I’d really love to go with you on the hunting trip, but household 6 pulled my weekend pass.”)) (courtesy of the Army Wife Network)
Ann Marie does a great job of giving her readers a glimpse into her life as mom and as Army wife. In this post, she adoringly praised her husband, a man who is a hero and deserves every bit of praised lavished upon him by his adoring wife.
Using a touch of humor, she explains that no, they did not plan on having their children so close together, but thus are the ways of God (and military life).
In addition to loving on her kids and husband, Ann Marie also enjoys photography and cooking – and from the pictures in this post, I’d say she could invite me over for dinner anytime!
Ann Marie describes herself this way: My hubby, Seth, is a Soldier in the United States Army. And yes, the night we met, it was the handsome man in uniform that caught my eye!
We have been married for almost 5 years and we have three beautiful children. Their names are Jacob (4 yrs), William (2 yrs), and Madeline (3 months). And no we didn’t plan the perfect 22 month spacing – the Army did!
This blog is my intellectual outlet to learn, grow, and share some of my experiences as a Wife, Mommy, and Me. Because sometimes as a SAHM, I get a craving for adult conversation – you know – with multiple syllable words not including batman, poopy, and UH-OH.
Thank you, Ann Marie, for sharing your life with us, your readers.
And, of course, thank you for being such a loyal commenter here at 5 Minutes for Mom! Please display this Loyal Commenter badge with pride.
If you are selected as a Loyal Commenter either by our site or another blog, you can display this Loyal Commenter badge with pride. Also feel free to give the badge to the commenters that you select each week.

What a wonderful tribute to a woman we would all love to thank. To thank for her bravery, courage and strength to raise those children… and to thank for enduring the life of a SAHM while her husband fights for our freedom!
Many Blessing for you and your family this Holiday Season!
