I am the “mother of all hand-me-downs”
My son keith actually has shirts, pants, coats and pajamas that have been worn by ALL 4 of his older brothers.
(it certainly saves me TONS of money each year!)

I have been tackling the same things! I got all of the bins out of the attic with the kids clothes and started calling my friends with babies and taking size requests. I have unloaded a ton of clothes to friends. Next project will be sorting through the toys.

Hand me downs are great! We have a niece and a nephew that are older than my daughter and son, so it worked out perfectly for us. Anytime I saw them wearing something cute, I knew my kids would be wearing it in a year or two.

Better late than never right?

Way to go on the hand-me-downs! We’re extremely fortunate to have neighbors with 2 girls, whose youngest is 2 years older than my oldest – she sells me her daughter’s outgrown clothes at garage sale prices, and they’re always in good shape. Plus I have a friend who gives me her hand-me-downs for Becca, which helps since a lot of our clothes don’t survive her two older sisters, lol.

We have a boy and a girl, and live near no family, so our hand me downs usually end up going to friends or good will! Of course, this post reminded me of the two sizes of clothes I need to pack up for my 9 month old daughter.. lol!

Well, I just boxed up all the clothes my son has outgrown (plus summer stuff) in the last 4-5 months! I’m super glad I’ve kept all his clothes now that we know we’re having another boy who will be due just days after Cory’s birthday! So, hopefully same seasons for the clothes and everything!

Kid clothes are a lot to tackle! I have 13 inches between my two boys, so when the older one outgrows something, it takes a while before it can fit the younger one.
