When my blogging friend Sami Cone asked me to review her upcoming book, Raising Uncommon Kids, of course I said yes.
But I didn’t expect to truly LOVE it so much. I will sincerely be reading this book over and over. It’s that type of book… where you want to reread it often so that you remember the messages and actionable ideas.
Raising Uncommon Kids: 12 Biblical Traits You Need to Raise Selfless Kids
Honestly, I wish I were more like Sami. She’s an amazingly talented women. But since I knew her only through blogging, I never realized what a Godly woman and phenomenal parent she is.
Thankfully, she’s sharing her wisdom. In her book, we can learn how to improve our own relationships with God and how better to model “uncommon” living to our children.
Raising Uncommon Kids: 12 Biblical Traits You Need to Raise Selfless Kids is a fresh and unique parenting book that helps us see how “focusing on adding good behaviors and attitudes is more powerful than eliminating bad ones.”
Sami takes the twelve characteristics found in Colossians 3:12-17 and translates them into examples and actions we can take in our daily family life.
We all want our children to possess qualities of unconditional love, gentleness, forgiveness, patience, gratitude, humility, and more. But we need to “mold” them by showing these traits in our everyday lives.
I loved Sami’s personal stories showing how she puts these biblical principles into action.
Instead of feeling overwhelmed by the need to be a better parent, I was inspired as I read.
Raising Uncommon Kids offers practical things parents can do right now to create a home and family that exhibits love, harmony, and generosity of spirit in a self-centered world.
The book launches TODAY, January 19.
Get your copy now… and get one for a friend too. She’ll thank you.
Disclosure: I received a digital copy of the book for review and I’ve included my Amazon affiliate link.
