Even though I’ve take a first aid class, I’m still not confident I’d remain calm and remember all the steps to follow if a medical emergency happened in my home.
A couple of years ago I had a terrible scare when my then 2 year old Julia slipped under the water in a backyard kids pool while I was only inches away. Thankfully, although my head was turned and I hadn’t seen or heard her slip under the water, my older sister saw and called out and I was able to pull Julia from the water.
But what a scare!
So when the folks from Intelligent First Aid™ showed us their talking first aid kit and asked us to help spread the word, I was thrilled.
I’m excited to try out the talking first aid kit they are sending me, and I’m even more excited to join with them over the next couple of months to help tell more families about this important product.
We’re working with Intelligent First Aid™ to provide helpful first aid information, a fun quiz and giveaways.
Hop over now to our First Aid page and learn more about Intelligent First Aid and share with us your Halloween safety ideas for a chance to win.

Unfortunately, I’m not sure I’d know what to do especially with CPR and the Heimlich. I take the classes every year, but they seem to change every time. Also, the directions I give to people over the phone as a 9-1-1 dispatcher are completely different than what I’ve been taught.
